Terms of use
Version draft-2026-10
Draft. This text is waiting for legal review and will change before ExpressListen opens to the public. The plain-language pages (Privacy, Safety, How it works) describe how the service really works today.
1. Who can use ExpressListen
You must be 18 or older. One person, one account. Keep your password private.
2. What ExpressListen is
A place to talk with people willing to listen. It is not therapy, medical care or an emergency service. In a crisis, see Safety.
3. How to behave
- Be kind and respectful. No harassment, hate, threats or sexual content.
- Do not ask for or share personal contact details.
- No romantic, commercial or promotional conversations.
- Do not pretend to be someone else, or a member of our team.
Listeners also agree to the listener guidelines:
- Listen; do not give medical, legal or financial advice, and never present yourself as a professional.
- Do not ask for or share phone numbers, addresses or social profiles.
- No romantic, sexual or commercial conversation.
- If someone is in danger or at risk of self-harm, share the in-app safety resources (112, Tele-MANAS 14416).
- Keep what you hear private.
4. Reports and actions
Our team reviews reports. We may dismiss a report, send a notice, remove a listener role or suspend an account. A suspended person can reply to the suspension email to ask for a review.
5. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. What we keep afterwards is explained in the privacy policy.
6. Changes
If these terms change, we will ask you to accept the new version.
